Terms of use

The rules for using todkett.com, its free tools, the workflow library and the community. In plain English, under the laws of India, and not yet reviewed by a lawyer.

01In short

  • Use the site, the free tools and the workflow library as they are, at your own risk. They are free and come with no warranty.
  • Every result is an estimate or a check, never advice. Decide for yourself, or ask a professional.
  • Workflows Todkett owns are free to copy, change and reuse under the Creative Commons Attribution licence: keep the credit line.
  • In Discussions: your own words, no secrets or customer data, say your connection to any tool you recommend, no pitching.
  • To report something, write to us. We acknowledge within 2 working days and delist the item while we check.
  • Our liability is limited to what you paid us, which for free use is zero. The laws of India apply.
  • Sending an idea or booking a call starts a conversation, not a contract.

02Who we are, and who you are

todkett.com is run by Nitin Sarkar, a sole proprietor based in Bangalore, India. In these terms “we” means Nitin Sarkar trading as Todkett, and “you” means anyone using the site, the free tools, the library or the community.

By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not, do not use it. You must be 18 or older to send the form, book a call, submit a workflow or post in Discussions; reading the site and using the free tools is open to anyone.

03The free tools: at your own risk, no warranty

The tools run in your browser with fixed rules. They call no model. Their results are estimates and checks, not advice, and you use them at your own risk.

  • The automation ROI calculator works only from the numbers you enter. Its result is your estimate, not a promise of savings, and not a quote.
  • The ATS resume checker measures how well the words and layout of your resume match a job description. It does not predict whether you will be hired or invited to interview, and it is not the score any employer sees.
  • The PDF toolkit changes copies of your files on your device. Keep your originals. We cannot see or recover a file.

The site and the tools are provided as they are and as available, without any warranty, express or implied: not of accuracy, fitness for a purpose, availability or that they are free of errors. We may change, pause or withdraw a tool at any time. If a result looks wrong, tell us at hello@todkett.com: we fix the rules and say so on the tool’s page.

04The workflow library and its licence

Workflows that Todkett owns outright, and the track sheets that describe them, are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY-4.0) (opens creativecommons.org in a new tab) licence. You may copy, run, change and share them, for any purpose, including commercial use, as long as you keep the credit line: “Todkett, [workflow name], todkett.com” with a link to the page. Each library item says whether it carries a downloadable file; items without one are the track sheet alone.

  • Workflows built for a client, or any item that says so on its page, are not in the library and are not licensed. We never publish client work.
  • A stress-test result is what our test showed on the date beside it, on sample data. It describes that workflow, not how it will behave in your systems. Test it there before you trust it.
  • AI steps run on your own model account and your own key. You are responsible for that account, its cost and what you send through it.
  • You are responsible for the data you run through a workflow, for the consent you need to run it, and for the laws that apply to you. Nothing in the library is legal, financial or professional advice.
  • n8n, and every other tool a workflow connects to, is licensed by its own maker under its own terms. Our licence covers only our own files and words.
  • The library comes with no warranty, the same as the tools. A workflow may stop working when a service it connects to changes.

Sample runs on the site use made-up data and one made-up company, Fernway, and say so. What the checks mean.

05Contributing a workflow

You can submit a workflow you built, or have the right to share, through GitHub as the contribute page describes. Anything you send through GitHub is public the moment you send it, even if deleted later. Remove every key, password, link, email address, company name and person’s name first.

  • You keep ownership of what you submit. You give us a licence to read it, run it in a throwaway account, describe it, publish that description under your chosen name, and list it on this site, and you license the file itself under the same Creative Commons Attribution licence as the library.
  • You confirm it is your own work or that you have the right to share it, that it holds no secrets or personal data, and that you are 18 or older.
  • We decide what to list and may decline, delay or remove an item without giving a reason, and we may fix an unsafe step before listing. A listed item carries your name as submitted and the date, and says that its checks are not yet run until they are.
  • One submission per person at a time, until one is published.
  • You can withdraw your name or your item at any time by writing to us. The page is removed and leaves every list on this site; what GitHub keeps is GitHub's.

06The rules of talk in Discussions

Questions and builds live in GitHub Discussions, under GitHub’s terms as well as these three rules. The moderator is Nitin Sarkar.

  • Write your own words, and keep keys, passwords, customer names and personal data out of screenshots and files. A post written by a model without a person's editing is removed.
  • Name your connection to any tool, service or company you recommend.
  • No pitching, no hiring posts, no spam.

A post that breaks them is removed. Repeat offenders are blocked from the Todkett organisation on GitHub. What you post is yours; by posting you allow us and other members to quote it in the same discussion, and you accept that it is public. The community page repeats these rules where people post.

07Reporting and takedown

To report a workflow, a post or a page that is yours, unsafe, unlawful or breaks these rules, write to hello@todkett.com and say which item and why. We acknowledge within 2 working days, delist the item while we check, and tell you what we decided. A listed file that is deleted, or that no longer matches the version we read, is delisted.

If an item is yours and was shared without your right, say so and it stays down. If you believe a takedown was wrong, write to the same address and we look again, with a person, not a rule. Today this site hosts no content from other people: everything posted or submitted sits on GitHub, and GitHub’s own reporting tools apply there too. When this site hosts such content, these terms will name the grievance officer and the times India’s information technology rules set for intermediaries.

08Ideas, calls and building

Sending an idea or booking a call does not commit you or us to anything. We may say a task is not worth automating, and why. The call is help with your own build; what you do with it is your decision.

Scope in writing first. A quote before any build. No prices on the site yet. Any build follows a written scope, a quote and an agreement of its own, and those terms, not these, cover it.

Do not send us anyone else’s personal data, passwords or confidential files through the form. Describe the task; we will ask for what we need.

09Using the site fairly

You may use the site, the tools and the library for yourself and for your work. You may not:

  • attack, overload or probe the site, try to get around its spam check or limits, or access any part of it you were not given;
  • send automated requests to the idea form, or run the tools by script at a volume no person would;
  • upload or send anything unlawful, harmful, infringing, or that is not yours to share, including malware;
  • pretend to be someone else, or copy the site or its design to pass it off as your own;
  • remove the credit line from a library workflow, or present our work as yours.

We may block any address, account or request that breaks these rules, without notice. Unauthorised access and damage to a computer system are offences under India’s Information Technology Act 2000, and we report them.

10Our words, drawings and code

The text, the drawings, the design and the code of this site belong to Nitin Sarkar, except the library items, which carry their own licence above. You may quote short parts of a page with a link to it. The names of other products and services belong to their owners; naming them here does not mean they work with us or endorse us.

11Limits of our responsibility

We work to keep the site accurate and running, but it may have mistakes or be unavailable at times. You use it, run its workflows and act on its results at your own judgment and risk.

Our total liability to you for anything arising from the site, the free tools or the workflow library is limited to the amount you paid us for the thing in question. For free use that amount is zero.

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss: lost profit, lost data, lost business, or the cost of a service you chose because of a result here.
  • We are not liable for the services we link to or the tools a workflow connects to, which run under their own terms.
  • Nothing here limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as liability for fraud, or takes away a right you have as a consumer under the law of the place you live.

12Your responsibility to us

If your misuse of the site, your submission or your post causes a claim against us, you cover the loss and the reasonable cost of dealing with it. This does not apply to anything caused by our own fault.

13Which law applies

Governing law and courts
India, courts of Bangalore
Language
These terms are written in English, and the English text governs.
Consumers elsewhere
If you use the site as a consumer in the EU, the UK or another place whose law gives you rights that cannot be taken away, you keep them, and you may bring a claim where you live.

Before any court, write to us: most problems are fixed by email within a few days. If one line of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.

14Changes, standing and contact

These terms were written by the owner, without a lawyer’s review, for a small Indian sole proprietorship serving visitors worldwide. A lawyer will review them, and this line will change when that has happened.

When these terms change, their “Last updated” date in the contents list changes with it. Using the site after that means the new terms apply. For a change to the licence or the community rules, we announce it on the community page first. Earlier versions are available on request.

Questions about these terms: hello@todkett.com. How we handle your data is in our privacy policy.
