Customer Support automation use cases

Support starts as a shared inbox, and the urgent ticket is tenth in line. Renewals arrive before anyone owns customer success, so the first sign of a risky account is often the cancellation itself. The support workflows here sort every ticket by fixed priority rules, draft the first reply for you to send, and score account health so risky renewals are seen early.

AI reads the free text of tickets and account notes. Code sets the queue, the deadline and the score, and caps how far AI may move a score. Urgent tickets and churn mentions always come to a person, and reply drafts are never sent automatically. What usually breaks is an unreadable answer from the model, so each page shows the safe default it falls back to.

What you can automate in Customer Support

Each row is one workflow: where it starts, the fixed rules, where AI is used and where you sign off. Open one to build it yourself.

Checks
Every workflow faces the same 8 checks. A check counts only when its test run is recorded; checks that do not apply are left out of the count. 4 checks are built into these designs and still wait for a recorded run. What we test
  1. Triage every support ticket and draft the first reply automatically

Starts when a help desk or support inbox sends a ticket. Ends with a routed ticket, a deadline and a reply draft, with urgent tickets sent to a person.

  2. Spot at-risk customers early and get the next best action for each

Starts every week or when a CRM export arrives. Ends with a health tier, the revenue at risk, a play with steps and a customer email draft.

02Can I automate it?

Asking about one task?

This question has a page of its own, with a straight answer and what stays with a person.

  • Can you automate customer support?

Yes, partly. Rules and one AI step sort every ticket and draft the first reply, and common questions can be answered from your own help docs. A person sends anything that is not on an approved list.
